ADAM SMITH
Certified Beer Server, Original Founder of BTL and Blogger

Adam moved to Chicago from Massachusetts in 2005. Years before he discovered the mash tun, he was a drummer in local bands in Boston and Chicago. He has a degree in graphic design as well as film production and has earned his Certified Beer Server Certification from the Cicerone program. When he is not spending time with his family, he is most definitely brewing beer.

RODNEY KNOX
Original Founder of BTL and Blogger

If you want to know what I like in beer, how I was drawn into it, or what my preferences are, take a look at my writings, social media, or ask me to sit down at a bar/restaurant for a couple beers – you will find out a lot more that way than a quick blurb about me.  I lean towards darker beers and Belgian beers over most other beer styles, and will go out of my way, slightly, to try the next new local brewery or bottle shop.   By day, I am a drone in an office setting and by night, when not consumed by beer, I have a growing house of my supportive wife, a newborn baby girl, and a small dog.

JOANNA J
Designer, Web Admin and Blogger

Joanna can usually be found behind the scenes at Beertasteslike. She is lead graphic designer, co-web administrator, and blogger.  Her background is eclectic, encompassing art, design, and history, a passion for food and drink, and Stephen King. You can find her listening to metal or gansta rap, drinking any sour/funky/wild beer under the sun (or more likely in the shade), and pickling jars of anything you can imagine. She shares her home in Portage Park with her husband Adam, tabby cat Ginger, and two dogs, Meera and 3-legged Odin.
